:
I?ve been in the trade for 6 or so years and am now laid off. I got my 310T (Truck and Coach) and have had it for about a year and a bit. I am now currently laid off and curious on what else my ticket could be good for. I need more money, expand my horizon and not be dead by the time I retire! Thanks

Hello,
Trades training is usually highly specialized and prepares workers to assume specific duties and responsibilities (see the occupational profile for Automotive Service Technician, Truck Mechanics and Mechanical Repairers). This also means that occupational mobility is reduced (moving from one career to another). The 310T ticket (Truck and Coach Mechanic) usually prepares workers to inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of buses, and light and commercial transport trucks. Your trade certification may enable you to seek mechanics jobs for different heavy-duty vehicles. Also, there is the possibility to explore a variety of workplaces, such as motor vehicle dealers, garages, truck and trailer dealerships, fleet maintenance companies, and service stations, automotive specialty shops, transportation companies and retail establishments which have automotive service shops.
