What qualifications are required of sommeliers in Canada?

The International Sommelier Guild offers training to aspiring sommeliers in all of North America. They offer an internationally recognized diploma. You will find it described at the following Web page.

International Sommelier Guild: Diploma

Courses from that diploma are offered in many Canadian cities, for example in Whistler, Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg and Toronto. They are usually offered in cooperation with a culinary school or similar institution. You will have to complete the diploma progressively, taking one course at a time.
